Shout to Him!!
Clap your hands, all you nations;
Shout to God with cries of joy.
How awesome is the Lord Most High,
The great king over all the earth

Jack Hayford tells a helpful story about shouting to God …
“It was at a Sunday morning service some years ago, and for no apparent reason, a depressing heaviness hung over the congregation. It was more than a human reaction …’This is a spirit of oppression,’ the Holy Spirit whispered to me. ’Call the people to resist it with a shout. Magnify the victory of the cross and that spirit will be overthrown.’”
Jack Hayford went on to describe the awkwardness he felt, wanting to be obedient to the Spirit, but wondering if visitors in the meeting would dub him an extremist and never come back. He explained to the congregation his prompting and the biblical basis for shouting to God.
“And then we shouted! My, how we did shout! To the accompaniment of the organ’s loud fanfare, we put Jesus’ name on our lips and magnified the victory of the cross to break the powers of hell. And the powers were broken – right there. The atmosphere changed! We sang “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name” and a new spirit of responsiveness and victory pervaded the assembly. I might add as well – many came to know Jesus Christ as Saviour – amidst shouts of praise!”
God knows the power of this mighty rarely tapped weapon, and so does the devil, so add it into your weaponry!
